Duplicates Search Results
After you've made the desired selection in the Getting Started dialog, Duplicate Photo Finder starts the search in the given location.
Found duplicates immediately appear in the search results area
and you can begin to work with them without interrupting the search running on the background.
Preview
In the Search results list, click the result of your choice. The selected original and duplicate photos pair is displayed in the preview area. A short information about the date photo taken, its file size and pixels dimension are located under an image preview.
Move the mouse pointer over an original or duplicate photo preview to see a detailed information about the image.
Search Results
Search results list contains three columns: original file pathname, duplicate file pathname and "similarity" level. By selecting a single result you can preview the photos in the Preview area. Click the name of the column in the list to order the results by this parameter.
Results Operation
- Click the
button (or press SPACE) to swap the original and duplicate photo; - Click the
button to remove the selected result(s) from the list; - To see additional options available, click the right mouse button anywhere in the search results list.
Processing Duplicates
All operations are performed with "Duplicate" photos only (they are located to the right in the preview area and in the results list), "Original" ones (located to the left) remain intact. Please use "swap" operation (see above) to change original and duplicate in the selected pair.

to copy the selected results to a specified folder; - Click the

to move the selected duplicates to another folder; - Click the
button
to delete the selected results to the Recycle Bin.
Search locations
You can manually manage the locations you'd like to be searched for duplicates:
- Click the
button, browse to the needed folder in the dialog opened, click OK to add
the selected folder to the locations list. - Select the location in the list and click the
button to remove
the selected location from the search list.
- Use the
and
buttons to sort
the list. If a duplicate is found during the search then the photo located in
the folder with upper location considered "original".
After you have made an appropriate changes in the locations list, click the
button (or press ENTER) to start the search. Click the
button (or press
ESC) to stop the current search in progress.
Search progress
The current progress, number of files processed/total and estimating time remaining is displayed in the status bar during the currently running search.
